For the guys out there wanting to run higher horsepower out of their 4BT Cummins, the Gorilla Girdle from Industrial Injection is what you need. Under high RPM with higher horsepower engines the block itself will actually flex. This causes main cap walk and improper alignment of the piston and crankshaft bores. The Gorilla Girdle strengthens and stabilizes the bottom end by evenly distributing the load across the main caps with consistent clamping force via included ARP main studs.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This kit includes 14mm studs, which are found on the majority of 4BT engines. In some cases on newer 4BT engines, we have seen 12mm bolts. In this case, you will have to drill and tap the block to accept the 14mm studs. If you do have the 12mm bolts and wish to not drill and tap, please contact us, as we can typically have Industrial Injection build the girdle to accommodate 12mm ARP main studs.
